Job summary

Beacon Hill Staffing Group is seeking an IP Litigation Paralegal for its Chicago office in a hybrid role supporting complex IP and commercial litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of paralegal experience, with IP litigation exposure, and a Bachelor’s degree (ABA Paralegal Certification preferred).

The role requires meticulous document management, filings, and coordination with attorneys, docketing teams, and vendors to ensure timely deadlines and accurate pleadings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; ABA Paralegal Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressively responsible litigation paralegal experience.
• Intellectual property litigation experience strongly preferred, including patent/trademark matters.

Responsibilities

• Support complex IP and commercial litigation in state and federal courts, including patent and trademark disputes.
• Organize and manage case files, pleadings, discovery materials, exhibits, and other litigation documents.
• Prepare and coordinate state and federal court filings, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and supporting materials.
• Cite check, Bluebook, and proofread pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Coordinate document collection, review, discovery, and productions with attorneys, clients, litigation technology teams, and outside vendors.
• Assist with deposition preparation, including witness files, exhibits, transcripts, and deposition logistics.
• Prepare legal teams for client meetings, hearings, arbitrations, depositions, and trials.
• Assist attorneys with discovery requests and responses, deposition notices, subpoenas, privilege logs, and third-party productions.
• Maintain case chronologies, discovery trackers, litigation databases, and matter deadlines.
• Conduct legal and factual research and coordinate with litigation docketing teams to ensure deadlines are properly recorded and tracked.

IP Litigation Paralegal

An established international law firm is seeking an IP Litigation Paralegal to join its Chicago office. This is a full-time, hybrid position supporting attorneys on complex intellectual property and commercial litigation matters. The salary range for this position is 85k-125k , depending on experience.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience , ideally within a large or complex law firm environment. Experience supporting intellectual property litigation, including patent and trademark matters, is strongly preferred. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, and an ABA Paralegal Certification is preferred.

Job Duties

• Experience within a large or complex law firm environment strongly preferred
• Experience with state and federal court filings, discovery, document productions, depositions, and hearing or trial preparation
• Working knowledge of PACER/CM/ECF and applicable state electronic filing systems
• Experience with Relativity or comparable document review platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF tools
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced litigation team
• Ability to work three days per week in the Chicago office
