Job summary

Quarles & Brady LLP seeks an associate with 2-5 years of IP litigation experience to join our national Intellectual Property group in Madison. A background in a technological or scientific field is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate will handle patent, trademark, trade secrets cases and related discovery, motions, and claim construction work, with strong academics and excellent written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of IP litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in representing clients in patent, trademark, trade secrets litigation.
• Strong academic record and outstanding organizational, communication and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Early case assessment and investigations, including accused products and prior art analysis.
• Drafting invalidity and infringement claim charts and assisting with contentions.
• Drafting pleadings and motions, including handling related meet-and-conferences.
• Preparing and responding to written discovery and working with e-discovery tools and vendors.
• Managing complex discovery and discovery negotiations.
• Preparing claim construction briefs and hearing materials.
• Working with experts on reports and testimony.
• Preparing deposition outlines and exhibits.
