Responsibilities

As a Permanent IP Legal Billing Coordinator, your role will be multifaceted and essential to our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing all aspects of intellectual property billing, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with client guidelines.
  • Partnering with attorneys to review and edit pre-bills, making any necessary changes or adjustments.
  • Managing Work-In-Progress (WIP) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) inventory reporting.
  • Coordinating with various departments to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
  • Implementing and maintaining billing schedules.
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of intellectual property laws and regulations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent IP Legal Billing Coordinator role will have the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal billing, specifically in intellectual property.
  • Proven experience in WIP and A/R inventory reporting.
  • Strong ability to partner effectively with attorneys and other key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
