Job summary

Mayer Brown is seeking a Paralegal for their Intellectual Property department in Washington, D.C. This role involves supporting attorneys in U.S. International Trade Commission Section 337 procedures, preparing filings, and attending trials.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a paralegal certificate and over 5 years of IP litigation experience. They will enjoy competitive pay between $135K and $178K annually, alongside comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive IP litigation experience in a law firm setting preferred.
• Experience with ITC Section 337 investigations and trials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file pleadings, including motions, exhibits, and notices on EDIS.
• Understand and research court/agency rules in preparation for filings.
• Coordinate with case team and e-discovery personnel on all aspects of data collection.
• Prepare for depositions and create witness files.
• Analyze and summarize documents and discovery responses.
• Conduct factual research to prepare key fact chronologies.
• Prepare pre-trial documents and filings.
• Act as liaison with the firm’s Trial Services team.
• Attend and provide support at trial.
