Job summary

Apple is seeking an Analog Mixed Signal IP Engineer to own external IP blocks and ensure they meet Apple's high quality standards. You will drive integration into leading mobile devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

The role requires hands-on design work in CMOS processes, with emphasis on power, area and performance trade-offs. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BSEE/MSEE plus a minimum 3 years of analog IC design experience.
• Hands-on experience in LDO, ADC, DAC, PLL, Serdes, or related analog blocks is preferred.
• Understanding of transistor device characteristics in advanced CMOS processes.
• Knowledge of analog IC design flow and related EDA tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to own responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Own analog IP blocks provided by external vendors and ensure they meet Apple quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines and external vendors.
• Integrate IP into mobile devices with attention to power, area and performance trade-offs.
• Travel may be required.

Description

In this highly visible role, you will take ownership of analog IP provided by external vendors. Your job is to assure that the IP is meeting Apple's high quality standards and gets flawlessly integrated in industry leading mobile devices. The role involves working closely with different cross functional teams within Apple as well as external vendors. Occasional travel might be required.

Minimum Qualifications

BSEE/MSEE plus a minimum 3 years of experience in analog IC design.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on design expertise in at least 3 of the following areas: LDO, ADC, DAC, PLL, Serdes, bandgap reference, filter design, switched capacitor circuit designSolid understanding of transistor device characteristics, especially in advanced CMOS processesSolid understanding of power, area and performance trade-off in mixed-signal designsKnowledge of analog IC design flow and toolsMultidisciplinary; being able to work on a large range of analog related topicsExperience with standards like PCI Express, MIPI, USB or DisplayPort is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong initiative and ownership of responsibilities, productive, able to meet aggressive deadlines
