Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of hands-on patent drafting, prosecution, portfolio strategy, and legal counseling focused on software, AI, ML, and/or computational biology.
• Registered to practice before the USPTO as a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with an active license.
• B.S. required; advanced degree in CS, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute complex software and AI patent claims.
• Directly manage outside counsel for drafting and prosecution.
• Develop and execute global IP strategies for deep learning and diagnostic algorithms.
• Conduct FTO analyses and landscape reviews for cloud-native digital health infra.
• Collaborate with R&D, data science, and engineering teams to harvest inventions.
