Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Technology Specialist in Chemistry for its Minneapolis, MN office, supporting the Intellectual Property practice by drafting patent applications, coordinating with the USPTO, and advising litigation teams on technical matters.

Ideal candidates hold a PhD in Chemistry with small molecule or pharmaceutical experience, 1–3 years in patent drafting/prosecution, and excellent writing skills. USPTO registration is preferred.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or closely related field.
• 1–3 years of patent drafting and/or prosecution experience.
• Registration before the USPTO preferred.
• Superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.

Responsibilities

• Draft patent applications, including descriptions and figures.
• Correspond with the patent office regarding pending applications.
• Advise patent litigation teams based on technical expertise.
• Interview inventors about new ideas.
