Honeywell’s Tridium (IoT) Platform Product team is looking for an experienced, energetic, and innovative Product Owner to help define product requirements and guide its day-to-day development and launch. Based in Richmond, VA, Tridium is a global software and services company that develops and markets the Niagara Framework, an Internet of Things (IoT) software framework that solves the challenges of managing smart devices in real‑time, over the Internet. With over 500,000 instances successfully applied in energy‑services, building‑automation and industrial‑automation, the Niagara Framework is the operating system for the Internet of Things (IoT). Exciting things are happening at Tridium, and we’re looking for a versatile individual who enjoys interacting with customers to discern pain points as well as interfacing with engineering on a daily basis to see the product through to release. We need someone with experience in enterprise software, IoT, analytics and cloud (experience is great) and building management (a big plus). We also need someone who understands the developer experience and can evaluate appropriate APIs for the Niagara Developer Community. Our team is nimble with limited hierarchy and lots of ownership. We’re looking for a product management professional who is an out‑of‑the‑box thinker, passionate about our mission, and who wants to dive in and get their hands dirty. The product owner will be part of the agile team and take full responsibility as an Agile Product Owner. You’ll lead the development and marketing of key features of the cutting‑edge software platform that enables our growth across all market verticals. You will be leading an Agile team and working collaboratively with Product Managers, Sales, Finance, Developers, Test and Quality Engineering, Project Managers and executive management. The best candidate will have a strong balance between deep engineering skills and business/marketing talent.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Performing market research and analysis
• Collecting Voice of Customer and competitive analysis
• Refining marketing requirements for engineering scrum teams
• Creating marketing user stories for Agile to meet customer needs and minimum viable product (MVP) with clear and specific acceptance criteria
• Grooming and prioritizing Agile scrum team backlogs
• Creating marketing collateral content in collaboration with Marcom
• Supporting Operations organization (part creation, requisitions, vendor coordination, etc.)
• Supporting sales and evangelizing product at conferences and trade shows
• Coordinating beta and early access program

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, marketing or business management
• 3 or more years of enterprise software development and/or product management experience
• Experience with Agile development methodologies

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience developing software systems with an emphasis on intelligent device management
• Strong analytical skills and creativity and innovation
• MBA earned
• Experience as a hardware or software engineer at some point in career
• Thrives in a fast paced environment working on new and emerging technologies
• Cloud experience is a huge plus
