Signify, in collaboration with Cooper Lighting Solutions, seeks an IoT Product Architect to lead architecture decisions for Node devices and embedded firmware. The role emphasizes design direction, technical leadership, and mentoring teams onsite in Atlanta.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in IoT/Smart Home engineering, deep BLE Zigbee knowledge, and hands-on architecture experience. A Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE is required, with strong security awareness and collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IoT, Smart Home, RF, or related engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field required.
• Strong understanding of BLE Mesh and Zigbee protocols and security considerations.
• Experience guiding architecture decisions and technical leadership on embedded platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define Node device architecture design decisions and strategy.
• Lead Architecture analysis, design, and implementation of project environments.
• Drive architecture documentation and manage technical reviews for Cooper Lighting Solutions bodies.
• Mentor developers and promote best-in-class software engineering practices.
• Document protocol decisions, provide proofs of concept, and train teams.
