Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an IoT Engineer to design, develop, and support IoT solutions across cloud and edge environments. The role emphasizes implementing and testing IoT products, delivering Level 3 production support, and partnering with stakeholders to define integration, security, and system requirements.

The position involves building and validating IoT solutions for functionality, scale, and performance, collaborating with business stakeholders to define requirements and configurations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Exposure to Vibe Coding and AI tools (CoPilot, Claude, Codex).
• Basic programming experience in C, C++, C#, Java, Python.
• Familiarity with OO programming, data structures, OS concepts, and design patterns.
• Experience or exposure to IoT and cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
• Exposure to SQL and MySQL.
• Ability to develop algorithms and knowledge of the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 production support for IoT applications, troubleshooting and resolving medium to complex issues.
• Develop, test, and validate IoT product functionality, scalability, and performance using emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, use cases, diagrams, and processes.
• Define application requirements including integration, security, and system configurations.
• Work within an onsite–offshore delivery model with distributed teams.
