Reddit is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer to build and scale native iOS apps used by hundreds of millions of users. You will lead projects from definition through launch, partner with diverse teams, and shape architecture for reliability and performance.

• Professional experience developing native iOS applications with Swift and a strong understanding of iOS frameworks and application architecture.

• Experience designing mobile systems and interfaces, evaluating architectural tradeoffs, and building scalable features from APIs through user-facing UI.
• Experience with experimentation, feature flags, instrumentation, analytics, and product or quality-of-experience metrics; familiarity with AVFoundation, VideoToolbox, HLS, media playback, recommendation systems, accessibility, or ML-integrated products is a plus.

Sitting at the intersection of large-scale distributed systems and core user journeys, Product Backend Engineers in Consumer Engineering partner directly with Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Frontend Engineers to build, experiment with, and scale features that power how hundreds of millions of users discover, join, navigate, and engage with the company.

What You’ll Do

In addition to base salary, this job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base salary range for this position is:

$164,000—$229,000 USD
