Job summary

Intuit is offering a Mobile Software Engineer Intern - iOS program in a 12-week summer cohort. You will write production Swift code, work on Intuit’s iOS apps across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp, and learn through mentorship and AI-powered tooling.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program with an expected graduation date after internship ends.
• Familiarity with AI tools and curiosity about AI applications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment at an Intuit office location determined by your team and role (Relocation stipend provided).
• Experience building iOS applications, ideally with Swift or Objective-C.
• Familiarity with iOS app architecture and development frameworks (SwiftUI, UIKit, Combine, MVVM).
• Working knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, Python, and Java.
• Comfort partnering with designers and backend engineers to connect mobile apps to cloud-based APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and SDLC.
• Self-starter attitude with initiative and independent decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving skills and track record of delivering tasks.
• Desire to learn and grow within a technical environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test features for Intuit's iOS applications, from UI to services they call.
• Write clean, well-tested Swift code and participate in code reviews to maintain high quality.
• Debug and resolve defects across the app from UI to stack.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into working software.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate workflow and share learnings with the team.
• Support deployment and ongoing maintenance of features you help ship.
