Job summary

DraftKings seeks a Lead iOS Engineer to helm the iOS build and delivery infrastructure, defining the technical vision and guiding a growth-focused team. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, high-performance iOS apps.

You will ensure reliability and scalability in a fast-moving, regulated gaming environment, while mentoring engineers and setting coding standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent.
• 4+ years building/shipping iOS apps, 2+ in leadership or mentorship.
• Expert Swift/SwiftUI with MVVM/VIPER patterns.
• Proven ability to design scalable codebases and lead large features.
• Strong background in API integration, data persistence & performance tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
• Hands-on with Xcode settings, SPM, and Azure DevOps pipeline design.

• Set and uphold coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices across the iOS engineering team.

• Stay current with iOS platform updates, tools, and emerging trends, introducing innovative solutions that keep our apps ahead of the curve.
• Partner with leadership to shape product roadmaps and contribute to the long-term mobile strategy.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any relevant combination of education, experience and training
• At least 4 years of experience building and shipping iOS applications, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
• Expert-level proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI, with deep knowledge of iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM and VIPER.
• Proven ability to design scalable, modular codebases and lead large feature development from concept to release.
• Strong background in API integration, data persistence, state management, and performance tuning.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and efficient release processes.
• Hands-on exposure to Xcode build settings, Swift Package Manager, toolchain management, and Azure DevOps pipeline design is a strong advantage.
• Exceptional collaboration skills, with a track record of influencing technical direction across teams.
• A strategic, user-focused mindset, balancing technical innovation with delivering impactful product experiences.
