Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an iOS Analytics Software Engineer for the Video Applications team in Boulder, CO, focusing on telemetry and instrumentation for iOS/macOS video products like Final Cut Pro and iMovie.

The role involves end-to-end ownership of instrumentation, designing telemetry in Swift, and collaborating with multiple engineering teams to ship high-quality features across Apple’s video editing tools.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit.
• At home in large, mature, ObjC codebases.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals: OO design, patterns, data structures, algorithms.
• Track record of owning a framework, SDK, or shared component end to end.

Responsibilities

• Taking end-to-end ownership of shared instrumentation frameworks used by multiple products, from API design to CI pipelines to client integration.
• Implementing telemetry in Swift that is stable, accurate, performant, and privacy-compliant from design through ship.
• Analyzing usage data to inform decisions, surface trends, and identify opportunities for users.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in engineering, product, and beyond to shape and deliver features.
• Writing clean, well-tested code that sets the standard for quality and maintainability.
