Job summary

Desert Parkway Behavioral Healthcare Hospital in Las Vegas, NV seeks an IOP Clinician to provide direct mental health support. You will facilitate group therapy, perform assessments, develop master treatment plans, and maintain compliant EHR documentation.

The role requires an MSW, LMFT, LCSW, LADC, or LCPC license in Nevada, plus at least 1 year of clinical experience and comfort in crisis intervention and discharge planning. Schedule is Mon-Wed 12:00–8:30pm, with competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
• Active Nevada state license required (LCSW, LMFT, LADC, LCPC or Board Approved Internship).
• Minimum one year of clinical experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy, and assessment-based treatment planning preferred.
• Experience facilitating clinical processing and psychoeducational groups.
• Experience with therapeutic limit-setting or behavior management modalities helpful.
• Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group therapy.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, formulate master treatment plans, and update interventions regularly.
• Provide active crisis intervention, safety planning, and de-escalation support when clients experience heightened emotional distress.
• Collaborate with external referral sources, family members, probation/court systems (as applicable), and hospital discharge planners.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in the EHR.
• Complete all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and inform supervisor.
• Create appropriate discharge plans as needed for the patient’s discharge.
• Schedule is Monday - Wednesday from 12:00pm - 8:30pm.
