Quantinuum seeks an Ion Transport Physicist for its Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN locations to advance ion transport in surface traps for quantum computing. You will run simulations, model transport methods, and contribute to ion trap fabrication and control systems projects while collaborating with experimental teams.
This role requires a PhD and at least 5 years’ relevant experience, including numerical simulation and Python tooling.
We are seeking a highly qualified Ion Transport Physicist for our Broomfield, CO or Brooklyn Park, MN location to apply their expertise to cutting-edge R&D efforts in the field of quantum computing. The ideal candidate will have experience addressing technical challenges related to ion transport in surface ion traps. In this role, you will perform numerical simulations and modeling of advanced ion transport methods, provide technical input to ion trap fabrication efforts, related electronic control system development projects, and collaborate with teams performing experimental characterization and validation of ion transport concepts in the laboratory.

Compensation & Benefits:
The pay range for this role is $148,000 – $185,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range may vary based on the candidate’s skills, educational background, professional experience, and unique qualifications for the role.
