We work closely with clients to understand their IT infrastructure, data estate, business objectives, and how modern Azure solutions can help them achieve those objectives. We support customers across North America and beyond, Mid-Market and Enterprise segments, Commercial and Public Sector, and across industries. Azure Consulting Services represents a fast-growing line of services for Inviso, and we are looking for individuals with Azure architecture and migration expertise to assist our clients.
The Cloud Solution Architect (Data & Analytics) is a senior role within the team and a Technical Advisor both internally and to clients, collaborates closely with the Data & Analytics Strategy Lead, participates in presales and post-sale delivery, responsible for designing customer-specific solutions, and expected to influence the design of repeatable service offerings and Inviso’s technology roadmap.

Qualifications:
Successful candidates will combine strong technical skills, pre-sales skills, business acumen, and effective communication skills to help clients implement cloud-based and on-premises BI solutions. The role requires an individual who has been integral to delivering end-to-end BI solutions and is highly motivated to take the responsibility and the associated reward of seeing BI projects from conception through to successful delivery.
Key activities for this role:
- Plan, configure, deploy, and optimize Microsoft Azure based solutions
- Continuously improve team processes to ensure information is of the highest quality, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the team
- Stay abreast of industry changes, especially in the areas of cloud data and analytics technologies
- Quickly learn and adapt to new business and technical concepts
- Coach other technical consultants and sellers related to Cloud technologies in your area of specialization
- Work with customers to understand their business needs and translate them into written requirements that can be understood by technical and non-technical audiences
- Build compelling, interactive, and actionable reporting on top of structured data models
- Deliver within the full BI lifecycle from requirements analysis through design & development and on into release and support/maintenance phases
- Analyze new/disparate data sources for integration with existing datasets to tell a comprehensive BI story
- Partner with account management during the pre-sales process to identify customer business objectives and challenges

Analytics: Data Factory, Data Lake Storage, Databricks, Data Explorer, Machine Learning, and Azure Synapse Analytics
Database: SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure SQL Database
Reporting: Azure Analysis Services & Power BI
Experience & Skills Required:
- 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying data solutions using Microsoft BI technologies including SQL Server, Power BI, Excel, SSIS, & SSAS
- 2+ years of experience developing data solutions using Azure Data Services, including the Analytics, Database and/or Reporting services noted above
- Background in supporting business teams by providing subject matter expertise and guidance in modern data engineering
- Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with large and small technical audiences
- Experience leading workshops with senior stakeholders aimed at identifying business drivers and articulating enterprise-level solution architectures
- Capable of speaking articulately to a breadth of topics such as SQL Server, Azure data store technologies, ETL, data warehousing, data modeling, O365 and Azure administration, etc.
- Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communications
- Goal-oriented team player committed to quality and detail
- Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change
- Project management experience
- Must be eligible to work as a vendor at Microsoft
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies, especially the Product Owner role
- Experience managing or leading a technical project team is highly desired
- Experience configuring and deploying Azure infrastructure components, such as managed networks, gateways, private endpoints, and security
- Microsoft Cloud Certifications a definite plus
- Experience managing codebases using Visual Studio, Azure DevOps
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a related field
