Job summary

GPS Dental in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our boutique downtown practice. You will assist the dentist chairside, prepare sterilization, handle digital radiographs and Itero scanning, and support patient care with a friendly, professional approach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience in a general dentistry setting.
• Invisalign experience is required.
• X-ray certification (or ability to obtain per state requirements).
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• EFDA certification is preferred (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control protocols
• Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and intraoral images
• Record and update patient medical histories and clinical notes accurately
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative care
• Maintain operatory cleanliness and organization
• Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed
• Support front office duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication
