Job description

Bloom Energy is a clean‑energy company that provides reliable, affordable power to Fortune 100 companies and other industries worldwide.

Role Summary

Investor Relations Manager reporting to the Vice President, Investor Relations. Core strategic partner to senior leadership responsible for shaping the company’s engagement with the investment community, providing data‑driven insights into investor positioning, market perception, and valuation frameworks. Role combines analytical rigor and capital markets judgment with execution of the IR program—owning consensus tracking, peer benchmarking, investor targeting, and Street model analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of the quarterly earnings process—manage cross‑functional timelines, prepare and review earnings materials (press release, earnings script, investor presentation, supporting analysis), and ensure accuracy and consistency of external disclosures.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for investor meetings, conferences, factory tours, non‑deal road shows, and earnings calls; prepare briefing materials for senior executives ahead of investor and analyst meetings.
  • Own Street intelligence and consensus analytics: maintain and interpret analyst models, consensus estimates, and revisions using FactSet, S&P and Visible Alpha; proactively identify deviations, key drivers, and emerging risks or opportunities in Street expectations; deliver timely, data‑driven insights to leadership.
  • Lead investor positioning analysis: analyze shareholder base, flows, and positioning trends to inform targeting strategy and anticipate trading dynamics; develop regular insights on how the stock is owned and where incremental demand may come from.
  • Develop peer benchmarking and valuation frameworks: maintain a consistent view of relative valuation across key peers, including revenue, EBITDA, and cash flow multiples; contextualize Bloom’s positioning within AI, power infrastructure, and broader industrial/tech ecosystems.
  • Translate market feedback into strategy: synthesize investor and sell‑side feedback into actionable insights for senior leadership; identify shifts in investor perception and recommend adjustments to messaging and engagement.
  • Support executive engagement with investors: prepare senior leadership for investor and analyst interactions with clear, insight‑driven briefings incorporating investor history, positioning, and key debate areas.
  • Oversee IR data systems and AI tools: utilize FactSet, Visible Alpha, and IR CRM platforms to maintain high‑quality data on consensus, ownership, and engagement activity.
  • Ensure disciplined disclosure and compliance: partner with Legal and Finance to maintain adherence to RegFD and SEC requirements, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all external communications.
  • Contribute to broader capital markets strategy: support positioning around capital allocation, investor targeting, and major events (roadshows, investor days, potential index inclusion scenarios).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of capital markets, financial statements, and the public‑company earnings process.
  • Strong written communication skills with experience drafting investor‑facing materials.
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including a firm grasp of public‑company financial metrics and modeling.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and collaborative with the technical and interpersonal skills to work closely with teams across the company.
  • Ability to travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in Investor Relations, Buy‑Side or Sell‑Side Equity Research, Investment Banking, or FP&A at a public company.
  • Experience with IR platforms and CRMs.
  • Ability to think like an investor is preferred.
