About the Opportunity
A leading alternative investment manager is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join its growing team in Houston. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to build experience within investor relations and alternative asset management.
The Associate will support the firm's investor relations and fundraising activities, working across investor reporting, marketing materials, due diligence requests, and day-to-day LP servicing. The position offers exposure to senior professionals across investor relations, investments, and other areas of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and delivery of quarterly investor reports, portfolio updates, and other client reporting.
- Support responses to investor inquiries and data requests, coordinating with internal teams to gather accurate information.
- Help create and update investor-facing materials, including pitchbooks, DDQs, fund fact sheets, presentations, and other marketing collateral.
- Assist with investor due diligence requests and maintenance of data rooms.
- Maintain investor information, CRM systems, and internal reporting databases.
- Support preparation for investor meetings, roadshows, conferences, and other fundraising activities.
- Coordinate with investment, compliance, and other internal teams to ensure investor materials are accurate and up to date.
- Assist with investor communications, fund updates, and subscription-related processes.
- Help improve IR processes, reporting workflows, and internal organization as the platform continues to grow.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of professional experience in investor relations, fund marketing, client service, investment operations, asset management, financial services, or a related field.
- Exposure to alternative investments, private markets, or credit is preferred but not required.
- Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in developing an understanding of private funds, investor reporting, fundraising, and institutional investors.
- Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working as part of a lean team.
