Job summary

MacArthur Foundation is hiring an Investments Office Intern for Summer 2027 in Chicago. The role provides exposure to a $10B multi-asset portfolio, with analytical and operational support, meetings with investment managers, and a summer-long project culminating in a presentation to the office.

Responsibilities include due diligence, portfolio analysis, market research, financial modeling, and AI-enabled workflow development; housing support may be discussed during interviews.

Qualifications

• Currently an undergraduate student; strong interest in portfolio management and institutional investing.
• Analytical, detail-oriented with clear written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or with others.
• Finance, accounting, economics, statistics or data analysis coursework preferred; investment coursework a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel; interest in learning AI-enabled tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Exposure to the Investments Office’s multi-asset class portfolio and operations.
• Provide analytical, research, and operational support; attend meetings with investment managers.
• Observe and participate in internal discussions where investment decisions are made.
• Complete a summer-long project and present findings to the Investments Office.
• Support projects including due diligence, portfolio or company analysis, market research, and financial modeling.
