Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a finance/credit-focused intern to build and maintain financial models and perform fundamental credit analysis for leveraged issuers. You will help develop relative value frameworks, prepare credit memoranda, and support portfolio monitoring with market research and earnings reviews.

The role offers exposure to bank loans, CLOs, and fixed income markets, with mentorship from experienced colleagues and opportunities to contribute to investment-management

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Passion for the investment management industry and contributing to a successful team environment.
• Valid work authorization that does not now or in the future require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States.
• High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain three-statement financial models and earnings forecasts for leveraged issuers.
• Conduct fundamental credit analysis covering business risk, industry dynamics, financial performance, capital structure, and covenant protections.
• Develop relative value frameworks to compare investment opportunities across issuers, industries, and capital structures.
• Prepare credit recommendation memoranda for evaluating primary and secondary loan market opportunities.
• Support portfolio monitoring through earnings reviews, company updates, and ongoing credit surveillance.
• Develop understanding of bank loan, CLO, and broader fixed income markets through market research, investment discussions, and interaction with portfolio managers and analysts.
• Work alongside experienced colleagues, contributing fresh perspectives and gaining exposure to investment-management projects and processes.
