Job summary

Ryan Companies US, Inc. invites applications for an Investments Summer Analyst position for Summer 2027 in downtown Chicago or Minneapolis.

You will assist the Investments Group by modeling asset cash flows, supporting equity and debt raises, and helping manage assets from inception to disposition. Ideal candidates are pursuing a real estate or finance degree and can work up to 20 hours weekly for three months.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in real estate or finance or related fields within 18 months of graduation.
• Able to work up to 40 hours a week for at least a three-month term.
• Strong working knowledge of Argus and Excel, including the ability to model complex financial structures.
• Able to work both independently and on a team and develop strong relationships.
• An excellent written and verbal communicator.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply information in loan and sale documents and lease agreements.
• Model real estate development cash flows using Excel and Argus.
• Evaluate and reforecast project cash flows for Ryan Funds.
• Present a short investment thesis on future trends/new frontiers to the Investments team.
• Participate in equity and debt raises through financial analysis and offering memorandum creation.
• Manage broker interactions and relationships.
• Support targeted marketing of investment properties for sale.
• General support of departmental needs.

Job Description: Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for an Investments Summer Analyst for Summer 2027 in downtown Chicago or Minneapolis! This role will support the Ryan Investments Group, which includes Capital Markets and Asset/Portfolio Management. The Investments Intern will assist on a wide range of asset classes that Ryan either owns or is developing across the country and will help manage the asset from inception to final disposition. To be successful in this role, you must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in real estate or finance or related fields within 18 months of graduation. You must also be able to work up to 20 hours a week for at least three months. You will really stand out if you: Are extremely well-organized. Have the ability to implement development tasks on multiple development projects with moderate supervision from associate or senior development staff. Communicate clearly. Demonstrate entry-level presentation skillset. Display relationship building skillset. Collaborate well.
