Job summary

Savano Capital Partners is seeking an Investment Vice President to originate, evaluate, and lead investments in late-stage technology and tech-enabled services companies. This deal leadership role owns opportunities from sourcing through diligence, committee, negotiation, and closing, coordinating internal and external resources.

You will work with partners, participate in IC discussions, and drive investment outcomes within a collaborative team of ~10 professionals, based in the Mid-Atlantic

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of relevant experience in private equity, growth equity, venture capital, investment banking, or comparable investment role.
• Demonstrated investment judgment with ability to independently evaluate businesses and make well-supported recommendations.
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and underwriting capabilities with ability to oversee and critique analyses.
• Experience managing diligence, coordinating transaction processes, and working with management teams and advisors.
• Strong origination and relationship-building skills across the technology ecosystem.
• Leadership and ownership—able to drive multiple opportunities and mentor juniors.
• Intellectual curiosity about businesses, competitive dynamics, and long-term investment returns.
• Location-based in Baltimore or willingness to relocate; connections to Maryland or Mid-Atlantic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Originate investment opportunities and take ownership of company and shareholder relationships.
• Lead investment evaluation from qualification through diligence, IC, negotiation, and closing.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to move transactions forward.
• Develop investment theses and prepare materials for investment committee.
• Evaluate and structure secondary transactions with counterparties and management.
• Monitor portfolio performance and identify follow-on opportunities.
• Mentor junior investment professionals and guide sourcing, diligence, and execution.
• Help shape the investment platform with data, technology, and process improvements.
