The Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to support the evaluation of solar, wind, and battery storage investment opportunities, including the preparation of final investment decision proposals. The Analyst will learn to work with the team's valuation models and build working relationships across key functions while gaining broad exposure across solar, wind, and battery storage. The I&V team drives value-added growth through critical analysis, strategic guidance, and rigorous governance across a growing pipeline of utility-scale renewable energy and flexible generation investments, supporting approximately $20 billion in planned US investment over the next five years. • Stakeholder Leadership & Alignment: Collaborates across the I&V team and gathers project inputs from development, commercial, and technical functions, communicating progress clearly. Supports internal analyses and ad-hoc valuation requests while flagging scope or priority ambiguities early
  • Model Quality & Governance: Works with existing valuation models to keep inputs complete and consistent within the defined scope and assumptions. Supports quality checks on financial models and analytical outputs, flagging inconsistencies and asking clarifying questions
  • Process & Tools Improvement: Shares observations and ideas for improving investment processes, financial models, and templates based on project experience, while learning the team's digital tools
Job Requirements and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or similar university degree required
  • Previous Finance expereince required
  • Proficiency in Excel; able to run existing financial models, scenarios, and sensitivities with guidance required
  • Foundational knowledge of valuation methodologies, especially DCF
  • Communication and presentation skills

  • Knowledge & Application: Proficient in Excel and able to run scenarios within financial models with guidance. Understands foundational financial concepts and is able to apply them to valuation, including key drivers such as capex and offtake pricing
  • Complexity & Problem Solving: Performs standard scenario analysis under clear direction and begins identifying valuation sensitivities. Demonstrates attention to detail by flagging issues and asking clarifying questions early rather than waiting
