Job summary

Fifth Third Bank in Greensboro, NC seeks a results-driven leader to oversee production and the coaching/ development of a team of licensed retail bankers. You will manage a large client book with complex profiles and drive securities product sales.

You will design coaching sessions on investments, conduct client meetings, and ensure exceptional service while meeting growth and risk controls. Series 7/66 or 63/65 licenses and Variable Annuity license are required.

Qualifications

• Prior brokerage industry experience.
• Series 7 and Series 66, or Series 63 and 65, required.
• State-required insurance licenses required, with exceptions for MI/OH.
• Variable Annuity license required.
• Motivated by commission-based sales and internal competitions.
• Ability to motivate others in a team environment.
• Strong coaching and teaching skills.
• Ability to explain complex financial products clearly.
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships.
• Extensive knowledge of securities and investment products.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for production, coaching, training and development of a team of licensed retail bankers
• Handle a large book of clients with more complex financial profiles
• Sell the full range of securities products and achieve targeted securities fee income goals
• Design and customize coaching sessions on investment strategies and product solutions
• Conduct solo and joint appointments with bankers
• Identify potential clients and provide solutions aligned with client needs, financial goals and objectives
• Maintain presence within the bank and develop relationships with internal and external clients
• Achieve sales goals while serving clients' best interests
• Plan and conduct individual and group coaching sessions
• Conduct client meetings to review existing accounts and close sales
• Follow up after appointments to maintain relationships and develop referrals
• Coordinate daily with the team to complete accountabilities accurately
• Conduct seminars for business development and growth
• Introduce clients to other bank services, including loans, estate planning and deposits
• Coach and mentor licensed bank employees
• Equip licensed bankers with tools and skills for success
• Guide team progress toward established goals
• Recognize and reward achievement of goals
• Identify, assess, manage, monitor and report risks within risk appetite
