Job summary
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering and process improvements across investment platforms such as Simcorp Dimension and Bloomberg. You will drive QA testing, data automation, and cross-team collaboration to optimize investment operations and reporting.
The role involves planning and coordinating with stakeholders, providing strategic recommendations, and supporting the full system development lifecycle in a hybrid work
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, CS, or MIS.
- Seven years of experience in business analysis methodologies.
- Five years in technology, risk, investments, or operations in a buy-side firm as a capital markets analyst.
- Experience with Agile lifecycle methodology.
- Experience translating user needs into technical requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel (including macros), SQL, Python, Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering sessions across asset allocation, trading, settlements, and risk functions.
- Perform QA testing for investment systems and ensure data integrity across front/middle/back-office platforms.
- Act as liaison between business and IT to align tech solutions with business needs.
- Develop data processes, quantitative risk analytics, and reporting enhancements.
- Support IT teams with system upgrades, post-implementation support, and optimizations.
