Job summary

Focus Partners is seeking a Director of Investment Strategy (Integration) to lead onboarding of joining firms onto the unified investment platform from our MA offices on a hybrid basis. You will learn legacy portfolios, build transition plans, and guide execution with analysts, ensuring high client retention and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 15+ years in an investment-related role.
• Experience with trading and rebalancing for integration.
• Broad knowledge of public and private investment strategies.
• Experience with portfolio models and rebalancing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through multi-phase projects.
• Ability to work effectively across disciplines.
• Experience with M&A investment integration.
• Strong trust-building with business leaders and advisors.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee integration plans that bring firms onto the platform.
• Understand legacy portfolios and proprietary strategies.
• Assist legacy teams in selecting options to direct client portfolios.
• Coordinate with portfolio ops to integrate targets into centralized management.
• Oversee migration from legacy positions to recommended strategies, mindful of tax consequences.
• Serve as liaison to legacy firm leaders and investment leadership.
• Educate advisors on the platform to boost client conversations.
• Coordinate sequencing and scheduling of firm integrations and provide updates.
