This position reports to the Senior Investment Portfolio Manager and collaborates with team members across Corporate Treasury and other organizational stakeholders. The role involves managing the bank’s proprietary $150 billion securities portfolio of fixed income investments, supporting objectives related to stable income, liquidity, interest rate risk management, and capital management for the Market Risk, Liquidity, and Capital Committee (MRLCC). The position provides essential support to Corporate Treasury in achieving its goals.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting senior management in making sound investment decisions
2. Conducting analytical processes on securities and investment strategies
3. Generating monthly portfolio risk metrics and preparing reports for MRLCC
4. Utilizing financial data platforms like S&P Capital IQ for in-depth analysis
5. Maintaining current policies and managing workflows
6. Monitoring market trends and economic indicators
7. Supporting traders with pre-purchase analysis
8. Analyzing financial publications and research
9. Participating in special projects and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
• One to two years of treasury or market experience, preferably in banking
• Understanding of financial markets and fixed income securities valuation
• Ability to interact with management at all levels
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Interest in financial markets
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office
• Effective communication skills
• Teamwork and project versatility

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA, MS Economics, Finance, or CFA designation
• Over two years of fixed income experience
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Yield Book, QRM, INTEX, and similar applications
• Basic knowledge of accounting rules and banking procedures
