Overview

The investment operations intern will work closely with the operations team to conduct research, capture data, and uphold processes critical to ongoing firm operations.

Responsibilities

• Fulfilling tasks to maintain portfolio positions and transactions in-line with banks and/or brokers as set out by supervisor.
• Attending strategic meetings to set the course and direction for operational teams, while taking minutes.
• Performing research to better understand portfolio movements, operational efficiencies and opportunities for increased accuracy.
• Working alongside full-time team members to take ownership of regular operational deliverables.
• Add depth to investment industry knowledge base and understanding of how securities operate by working with securities on a daily basis.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in a business related field. - Required
• Proven academic and extracurricular track record with a demonstrated history of achievement. - Required

Work Setting/Position Demands:

• Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.

• Requires visual acuity to read and interpret a variety of correspondence, procedures, reports and forms via paper and electronic documents, visual inspection involving small defects; small parts, and/or operation of machinery (including inspection); using measurement devices continuously.
