The position can be filled at the Analyst, Senior Analyst, or Associate level, with starting salaries based on experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Investment Process and Reporting
  • Set up processes, manage lifecycle transactions, and perform monthly/quarterly valuations of alternative investments, including capital calls, distributions, and account statements in internal systems (SimCorp) and with custodians, investigating discrepancies as needed.
  • Review financial statements and disclosures to ensure accuracy and note issues, escalating for resolution.
  • Research and reconcile financial holdings, performance, and investment data discrepancies regularly with SimCorp and custodians.
  • Analyze investment data, consulting with portfolio managers and staff to meet reporting needs.
  • Identify best practices and support development of data management infrastructure for alternative investments.
  • Create or improve data analysis and reporting methodologies.
  • Assess investment analysis, data, security, and reporting needs, and develop metrics and objectives.
  • Analyze pricing, cash flows, trading info, and other factors affecting portfolio valuation and compliance.
  • Support audit requests and accounting reports.
  • Monitor data feeds, recommending corrections to ensure data accuracy.
Portfolio Services
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to present investment data for decision-making.
  • Participate in projects to implement strategic initiatives and improve system integration.
  • Identify operational, reporting, and system improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain operational documentation and facilitate cross-organizational resolutions.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, operations research, math, IT, liberal arts, or related field. A Master’s degree may substitute for one year of experience.

Experience
  • 1 year of full-time experience in investment operations, data management, or related, for Analyst level.
  • 3 years for Senior Analyst.
  • 5 years for Associate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong data analysis skills in accounting, finance, or statistics.
  • 3+ years of professional investment experience or related data analysis experience.
  • Experience with alternative investments like hedge funds, real estate, private equity.
  • Certifications such as CPA, CFA, or CAIA are a plus.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GASB, FASB standards.
  • Experience with SQL, SSRS, PowerBI.
  • Understanding of capital markets, securities, and private markets.
Skills and Abilities
  • Perform complex financial analyses and verify data accuracy.
  • Proficient in Windows, MS Office, report writing, and business software.
  • Conduct large data searches, statistical analyses, and prepare reports.
  • Communicate complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
