Our client is seeking a mid-level associate, class years 2020 through 2022, to join its Investment Management practice in New York, Chicago, or Washington, D.C.
The ideal candidate will have experience advising on matters involving registered funds under the Investment Company Act of 1940, including closed-end funds, mutual funds, ETFs, and business development companies. Experience gained within the investment management practice of a peer BIG LAW law firm is preferred, along with a strong academic record.
Our client’s Investment Management practice advises registered investment companies, fund sponsors, underwriters, boards of directors, and other service providers on the structuring, offering, operation, financing, and regulation of registered funds and business development companies.

Associates will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated regulatory, transactional, and governance matters in a collaborative practice that works closely with M&A and other corporate colleagues.
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $310,000 to $390,000, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations, consistent with applicable law. The position may also be eligible for a discretionary year-end bonus.
