Job summary

Nelnet is seeking an intern to join the NFS Investments Team in Lincoln, NE, focusing on structured and specialty finance investments and asset management. You will assist with investment analysis, risk assessment, underwriting, and performance tracking as part of a mentored program.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with coursework in finance, accounting, and business. Prior internship preferred; strong Excel and written communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant coursework in finance or accounting.

• Strong analytical and written/oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with investment analysis across various asset classes, including consumer, auto, small business, home improvement and others.
• Collaborate with internal teams to complete projects and deliverables.
• Maintain and update the comparable deal tracker.
• Support management with special projects as assigned.
• Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Perform industry research and draft concise reports.
