Shelter Insurance seeks an Investment Intern to support the investment team across fixed income, alternatives and public equity. The role involves researching opportunities and preparing reports on portfolio performance and economic trends affecting insurance portfolios.

The student should be pursuing a finance or analytical degree, with Excel and MS Office proficiency. A 12-month, full-time summer-plus-school-year schedule is preferred, with flexible part-time options.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of finance, business or analytical degree.
• Basic understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Introductory knowledge of equity and fixed income markets.

Responsibilities

• Support Investment department functions across asset classes.
• Provide research and evaluation of investment opportunities.
• Prepare and update reports on portfolio performance and trends.
• Assist with ad hoc investment projects as needed.
