Job summary

CMC Recruiting seeks an Investment & Insurance Operations Associate to support day-to-day investment and insurance operations. You will handle client accounts, insurance cases, and internal workflows with accuracy and urgency, collaborating with custodians, carriers, and advisors.

The role requires strong attention to detail, proactive operations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience within financial services, wealth management, insurance, or investment operations preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working with CRM systems and operational platforms.
• Licenses: Life & Health Insurance and/or Series 6 or 7 required.

Responsibilities

• Manage investment and insurance new business from submission through completion.
• Prepare and submit account paperwork with a high level of accuracy.
• Process account openings, transfers, rollovers, contributions, withdrawals, and other client transactions.
• Track cases across custodians and internal systems to ensure timely execution.
• Coordinate with custodians, carriers, and internal team members throughout the process.
• Process insurance applications from underwriting through policy delivery.
• Coordinate medical exams and gather underwriting requirements.
• Monitor case progress and proactively follow up on outstanding items.
• Support ongoing policy servicing including beneficiary updates, loans, payments, and policy changes.
• Serve as a point of contact for operational and service-related client requests.
• Communicate professionally with clients, advisors, and external partners.
• Support advisors by preparing materials and ensuring operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate CRM and operational records.
• Ensure workflows stay organized and nothing falls through the cracks.
• Identify inefficiencies and help improve operational processes.
• Assist in building scalable systems to support the firm’s continued growth.
