Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related discipline.
• 3–7 years in credit research, fixed-income investing, commercial banking, rating analysis, or related field.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, accounting, fixed-income securities, and credit markets.
• Experience evaluating investment-grade corporate bonds and new-issue transactions.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg, Excel, financial modeling, and market-data platforms.
• Experience covering financial institutions or other specialized sectors is beneficial.
• Undergraduate degree from a highly ranked school with strong academic track record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fundamental credit analysis of investment-grade corporate issuers across assigned industries.
• Evaluate business models, competitive positioning, industry dynamics, management quality, and financial performance.
• Analyze financial statements, capital structures, cash-flow generation, leverage, liquidity, refinancing needs, and debt-service capacity.
• Develop financial forecasts and assess credit performance under base-case and downside scenarios.
• Identify relative-value opportunities across issuers, sectors, maturities, seniority levels, and the credit curve.
• Monitor portfolio holdings, new issuance, rating actions, earnings results, market developments, and credit spreads.
• Partner with portfolio managers and traders on portfolio construction, trade execution, and risk management.
