Job summary

Norm Law in New York City is seeking an Associate in our Investment Companies Practice to advise on formation, registration, compliance, and governance of registered funds, advisers, and independent directors, while leveraging bespoke AI tools.

You will collaborate with private fund formation, tax, and funds teams, and work in a hybrid model with in-office days. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge legal tech and fast-paced regulatory work.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent; admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4–6 years of investment funds regulatory experience.
• Hands-on Marketing Rule reviews and SEC examinations experience.
• Strong drafting and communication; meticulous attention to detail.
• Interest in applying technology to enhance traditional deal workflows.
• No prior AI or technical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory filings & disclosures using AI-assisted workflows.
• Marketing Rule reviews of materials, pitch decks, and performance presentations.
• Formation & transaction support with private fund teams on live launches.
• Represent advisers through SEC examinations and inquiries with AI tools.
• Advise clients on AI-enabled workflows to improve accuracy and turnaround.
• Collaborate with tech teams to enhance regulatory processes with AI.
