Job summary

AJ Chambers US is seeking a 3-5 year Investment Funds/Private Funds Associate in New York to join its sophisticated Financial Services Group. The role covers fund formation, governance, regulatory compliance, and direct client exposure with partners.

The firm offers a Hybrid schedule: in-office Monday-Thursday, remote Fridays, and collaboration with leading funds and managers. Ideal candidates will have experience advising hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate and commodity

Qualifications

3-5 years of law firm experience.
Experience in investment funds, private funds or financial services law.
Experience advising hedge funds, private equity funds, VC, private funds, commodity pools, or similar.
Experience with fund formation, structuring, governance, regulatory or compliance matters.
Strong research, drafting, analytical and client-facing skills.
Ability to work closely with partners and sophisticated clients.

Responsibilities

Advise investment funds, sponsors, investment managers and alternative investment firms.
Assist with fund formation and fund structuring.
Advise clients on fund governance and organizational matters.
Draft, review and negotiate fund and investment management documentation.
Research and advise on applicable securities, investment management and financial services regulations.
Collaborate with attorneys across the Financial Services Group.
Communicate directly with clients and assist with ongoing client relationships.
