Job summary

United Future's New York office is seeking Investment Funds Associate Attorneys to join an international AMLaw 50 firm. The role focuses on representing private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate, and other funds using alternative investment strategies.

Candidates should have a JD from a top-tier law school, active bar admission, 3-6 years of fund formation and investment management experience, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials (Top 20% of class).
• Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3–6 years of substantive experience in investment management and fund formation.
• Background in private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hybrid funds, and funds utilizing alternative investment strategies is highly advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

• Represent private equity, hedge, private credit, real estate, hybrid, and other funds employing alternative investment strategies.
• Provide support on matters involving retail alternative funds (BDCs, interval funds, closed-end funds).
• Work closely with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional legal solutions for clients.
• Contribute to the firm's expanding investment funds practice, directly interacting with clients and supporting business development.
