5 Legal seeks an Experienced Investment Funds Associate to join its Am Law 100 Investment Management Practice group in Washington, DC. The role focuses on structuring, formation and operation of domestic and international venture capital and private equity funds, and related transactions.

Candidates should have strong fund formation experience (hedge or private equity), experience with secondary transactions is a plus, and first-rate academic credentials from a leading law firm or school.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of fund formation experience.
• Fund formation experience in hedge and/or private equity required.
• Secondaries transaction experience will be favored but is not mandatory.

Candidate must have general experience both working in teams and in managing substantial components of transactions independently, along with specific experience representing domestic and international venture capital and private equity funds in structuring, formation and operation, as well as in various transactions such as financings, acquisitions and formation of alternative investment structures.
