Job summary

The Vanguard Group in Malvern, PA is seeking a data and portfolio operations professional to serve as a primary contact for portfolio managers and traders, and to validate investment data for portfolio management.

You will analyze data, resolve issues, support onboarding and testing, and contribute to modernization efforts while expanding knowledge of financial markets and investment products.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience in the Financial Services industry or related experience.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and business partners.
• Strong attention to detail with experience working in environments where accuracy and risk management are critical.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and succeed in evolving operational environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
• Interest in financial markets, investing, and the investment management industry.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for portfolio managers, traders, custodians, and partners on investment data and portfolio support activities.
• Analyze and validate investment, portfolio, and market data to ensure accuracy and readiness for portfolio management and trading activities.
• Proactively identify, investigate, and resolve operational issues, data discrepancies, and process exceptions.
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple teams to coordinate issue resolution and mitigate operational risk.
• Support portfolio onboarding, market-driven events, and strategic initiatives through testing, validation, and business support activities.
• Contribute to modernization efforts designed to improve the efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness of investment operations.
• Develop reporting, operational insights, and documentation that support decision-making and process improvement.
• Continuously strengthen your knowledge of financial markets, investment products, and portfolio management processes.
