Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is building a Data Engineering function to shape data, analytics and reporting for investment oversight, research and manager selection. You will translate business needs into data solutions and models, automate critical workflows and contribute to dashboards and governance.

The role emphasizes partnership with Coverage Analysts and Investment Strategy & Research, with opportunities to advance data quality and apply AI/ML methods across Boston, New York, London

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in data analytics, quantitative development or reporting within investment management or financial services.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or a related quantitative field.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, R and SQL, with experience using database platforms.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with analysts and portfolio teams to translate analytical needs into data solutions, models and reporting.
• Source, validate and maintain investment data across platforms and databases with quality and accessible feeds.
• Build and maintain quantitative models, analytics tools and performance attribution systems.
