Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Investment Counselor to join their clients team, managing a roster of Canadian-based clients and handling ongoing relationship maintenance.

You will conduct roughly ten calls per day, participate in client events, and may travel to Canada quarterly. No cold calling, and you will work with high net worth clients to advise on investments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 total years of experience in investment management.
• Think recommending fixed income products or individual securities.
• MUST HAVE a CFA level 1; if no CFA, then a highly quantitative master's degree.
• General MBAs will be rejected, but heavy finance focused MBA’s or SRIF experience can work.

Responsibilities

• Manage 200 Canadian-based clients.
• Make about 10 calls a day, scheduled and unscheduled.
• Host client events and possibly travel internationally to Canada once a quarter.
• No cold calling; you will be calling current clients.
• Will have a roster of high net worth clients.

• Masters of Finance(Mfin), Masters of Engineering (MFE), Masters of Quantitative Finance(MQF)
• A CIM could also work (Canadian specific cert)
• General MBAs will be rejected, but heavy finance focused MBA’s or Student Run Investment Fund (SRIF) experience can work
• No cold calling theyre just calling current clients
• Will need to eventually pass a series 65

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for multiple Canadian Investment Counselors to join their clients team. This candidate will be managing 200 of your own Canadian based clients. You will be on about 10 calls a day, both scheduled and unscheduled. You will also be involved in hosting client event, and possibly traveling internationally to Canada once a quarter to visit your clients. No cold calling, or wearing “many hats”. You will be provided a roster of high net worth clients.
