Job summary

Insight Global is seeking Canadian Investment Counselors to join a client's team. You will manage a portfolio of approximately 200 Canadian-based clients, conducting around 10 calls daily, both scheduled and unscheduled, and may travel internationally to Canada quarterly.

You will host client events and support relationship management while leveraging a strong finance background. Relocation is available and up to 50 remote days per year after the first year.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, relationship management and time management skills.
• Minimum of 2 total years of experience in investment management.
• Must have CFA Level I or, if not, a highly quantitative master's degree (e.g., MFin/MFE/MQF).
• Relevant investment management experience and ability to discuss fixed income or securities recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Canadian-based clients (about 200).
• Engage in ~10 calls per day, including scheduled and unscheduled sessions.
• Host client events and possibly travel internationally to Canada quarterly.

Job description

Location: Tampa, FL - Camas, WA or Plano, TX

• Fully onsite 5 days a week for 1st year. Can qualify for 50 total remote days per year after that
• Will provide relocation - they are fully open to relocation candidates

Total Comp: $90K - 140K Base + 40K bonus

Work Authorization: Must be able to work Full Time on a W2

Must-haves

• Strong communication, relationship management and time management skills
• Minimum of 2 total years of experience with relevant investment management experience
• Think recommending fixed income products or individual securities
• MUST HAVE a CFA level 1
• If no CFA, then they must have some sort of highly quantitative masters degree
• Masters of Finance(Mfin), Masters of Engineering (MFE), Masters of Quantitative Finance(MQF)
• A CIM could also work (Canadian specific cert)
• General MBAs will be rejected, but heavy finance focused MBA's or Student Run Investment Fund (SRIF) experience can work

Day-to-Day

Insight Global is looking for multiple Canadian Investment Counselors to join their clients team. This candidate will be managing 200 of your own Canadian based clients. You will be on about 10 calls a day, both scheduled and unscheduled. You will also be involved in hosting client event, and possibly traveling internationally to Canada once a quarter to visit your clients. No cold calling, or wearing "many hats". You will be provided a roster of high net worth clients.
