Investment & Corporate Banking – Healthcare, Associate

Mizuho’s Banking Division provides corporate and investment banking coverage, sponsor coverage, advisory and solutions, and loan capital markets/syndicate services to our client base of leading international corporations, financial institutions, and public sector entities in the US and Canada.

Our banking team supports client business activities throughout the region with a broad range of capital markets and lending capabilities, focusing on client relationship management and strategic transaction development to execute banking and securities mandates and generate ideas for potential acquisitions, divestitures, and investment opportunities.

Job Summary

U.S. Investment & Corporate Banking Associates are directly involved in designing, originating, structuring, and executing mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, leveraged finance, and other global products and services for existing and prospective Mizuho clients. Associates are expected to understand industry and product trends and contribute to pitch and deal materials to enhance client deliverables.

Associates will be assigned to various projects and responsibilities, including:

• Conducting extensive quantitative research and analysis on economics, industries, and companies
• Drafting and preparing pitch books with detailed industry materials for multiple healthcare sectors
• Modeling a range of corporate finance options and conducting due diligence for client transactions such as M&A, strategic alternatives, capital structure development, and financing
• Performing financial modeling, valuation, comparable & relative value analyses, and market-specific analysis
• Facilitating product idea generation and solutions development across global capabilities
• Drafting client pitches and marketing materials for M&A, debt & equity markets, syndicated loans, and other documentation
• Assisting in financing structuring, underwriting, transaction evaluation, and execution
• Developing and maintaining client relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with a minimum of 3 years in investment banking, corporate finance, or capital markets at a top-tier global bank OR an MBA in Finance or Economics
• Strong interest and knowledge of the Healthcare industry; experience in healthcare transactions is a plus
• Knowledge of corporate finance, securities, financial markets, and risk & pricing analysis
• Ability to synthesize large information sets and develop innovative ideas
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
• Mature judgment and discretion handling sensitive information
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Creativity, curiosity, and ability to work independently and in teams

The base salary ranges from $175K to $225K, based on skills, experience, and market factors. Additional benefits include a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
