Job summary

Citigroup Inc. in Houston is seeking an Investment Banking Senior Analyst to support clients on capital raises, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, working directly with senior bankers on live deals.

You will build and analyze financial models, prepare pitches, and contribute to client advisory work across energy and financial markets, with a hybrid work model and strong focus on development.

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or related financial advisory.
• Series 79 and Series 63 licenses required or ability to obtain.
• Ability to build and interrogate complex financial models for valuation and analysis.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication to present analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in finance, economics, or related field.

Citi is looking for an Investment Banking Senior Analyst to join its Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory team, where you will advise clients on capital raises, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial transactions. In this role, you will work directly alongside senior bankers on live deals and client engagements, bringing analytical rigor and financial expertise to some of the most complex transactions in the market. Responsibilities

• Advise clients on capital markets transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic financial mandates as a core member of the investment banking team.
• Analyze sophisticated financial data to support client proposals, strategic plans, and transaction execution materials.
• Build complex financial models to support valuation analyses across a range of transaction types and market scenarios.
• Prepare written recommendations, valuation materials, and statistical exhibits for pitches and live deal processes.
• Conduct in-depth economic and financial research to underpin client advisory work and market positioning.
• Evaluate company financial performance against industry benchmarks and broader market trends to inform strategic recommendations.
• Collaborate with senior Banking, Capital Markets and Advisory professionals on client transactions, contributing analytical and advisory support throughout the deal lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 2 to 5 years of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or a related financial advisory discipline.
• Series 79 and Series 63 licenses required, current or ability to obtain.
• Demonstrated ability to build and interrogate complex financial models for valuation and transaction analysis purposes.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial analysis and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver high-quality outputs under time-sensitive conditions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in finance, economics, or a related field.
