  • Assist in the execution of in-court and out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A transactions, recapitalizations, liability management exercises, and special situations transactions
  • Prepare client presentations, marketing materials, and transaction analyses
  • Conduct industry, capital structure, and stakeholder analyses
  • Work closely with senior bankers and clients on live transactions

Our client is seeking an Associate to join its Restructuring & Special Situations team. The group advises on high-profile in-court and out-of-court restructurings, liability management exercises, distressed M&A transactions, and other complex capital structure situations. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to some of the most active and sophisticated restructuring mandates in the market while working alongside senior industry leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze companies experiencing financial distress and liquidity challenges
  • Build and maintain complex financial models, restructuring analyses, recovery waterfalls, and valuation materials
  • Support both debtor-side and creditor-side advisory assignments
  • Assist in the execution of in-court and out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A transactions, recapitalizations, liability management exercises, and special situations transactions

Candidate Profile
  • 3+ years of investment banking experience
  • Prior restructuring experience strongly preferred
  • Candidates from leading restructuring advisory, RX banking, special situations, distressed investing, or relevant private credit backgrounds may be considered
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Compensation
  • Associate 1: $175,000 Base
  • Associate 2: $200,000 Base
  • Associate 3: $225,000 Base
