Job summary

Texas Capital Bank is seeking an experienced investment banker to contribute to M&A execution and capital advisory. You will work with senior bankers to structure transactions, manage client relationships, and drive deal flow from prospecting to closing.

You will mentor junior staff, assess risk, and deliver tailored financial solutions while meeting strict regulatory standards. The role is based in Dallas, offering an opportunity to build Texas Capital’s franchise across the region.

Qualifications

• Significant deal generation and execution experience.
• Extraordinary levels of motivation and initiative.
• Established industry relationships and business plan necessary to build a profitable deal team.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to defend concepts concisely.
• Experience in recruiting, training and managing people at all levels of an investment banking team.

Responsibilities

• Leverage past investment banking or related industry experience to enhance M&A execution and/or capital raising outcomes to help contribute to building Texas Capital’s franchise.
• Meet revenue and other financial goals by establishing and maintaining a pipeline of episodic deals.
• Ensure proposed client solutions meet or exceed internal risk and return standards, including stringent ethical standards.
• Anticipate future changes in the marketplace.
• Identify and anticipate all types of risks (e.g. industry, portfolio, diversification, sovereign, commercial, currency, etc.).
• Serve as a leader and mentor to banking team, execute staffing models that support business needs and career trajectories for junior staff.
• Build client relationships by providing sophisticated financial solutions tailored to the clients’ needs and acting as a content provider on market trends.
• Oversight and execution of a myriad of capital markets and advisory service transactions as well as the oversight of the project / deal team, driving work product through every phase of the transaction process.
• Serve as the expert on regulatory, financial and complex strategic issues relating to corporate finance transactions.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Texas Capital, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
