Responsibilities

Structured Solutions & Leasing (SSL) develops, originates, and executes innovative structured banking products for clients and SG. Transactions typically address specific client or SG requirements, such as fiscal, regulatory, or accounting needs, including:

• Asset-backed financing (real estate, equipment, inventory, receivables)
• Tax equity and investment tax credits (solar, wind)
• Hybrid capital financing (preferred equity, minority interest)
• Transportation asset financing (railcars, vehicles, containers)
• Acquisition of leasing companies and assets
• Cost-effective financing or hedging transactions
• Structuring M&A for tax efficiency
• Managing client cash in emerging markets
• Regulatory efficiency transactions

SSL operates on a 'one team' model across products and jurisdictions.

• Support the development and origination of transactions to expand SSL's franchise.
• Ensure compliance with SSL governance and transaction execution standards.
• Represent SSL internally to promote its franchise.
• Develop client solutions and support transaction origination in coordination with other SG lines.
• Assist in executing SSL transactions aligned with the SSL perimeter.
• Enhance SSL's franchise in line with SG's strategy and priorities.

Profile required

Technical:

• Support lead originators in transaction origination, legal documentation, risk, and financial modeling.
• Understand risk concepts (conduct, reputational, financial) within SSL, GLBA, and SG Group governance.
• Understand structured finance concepts, including cross-border, tax, leasing, and regulatory considerations.
• Know origination concepts across client sectors and SG's own positions.
