Job description

A leading multinational investment bank is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst (Analyst 2 / Analyst 3 level) to join its Infrastructure team, with a primary focus on M&A and strategic advisory.

This is an excellent opportunity for an investment banking professional with 1–2 years of experience to work on high-profile transactions across the infrastructure sector, partnering closely with senior bankers and clients throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support the execution of buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions across the infrastructure sector.
• Develop detailed financial models and valuation analyses, including DCF, comparable companies, precedent transactions, and transaction-specific analyses.
• Conduct company, industry, market, and transaction research.
• Prepare pitch books, confidential information memoranda, management presentations, board materials, and other client deliverables.
• Develop buyer and target lists and conduct strategic and financial buyer analysis.
• Assist with due diligence, transaction execution, and coordination with clients, legal counsel, accounting advisors, and other transaction professionals.
• Analyze company operating performance, strategic alternatives, transaction structures, and potential synergies.
• Support senior bankers in developing new business opportunities and preparing client pitches.
• Work across infrastructure subsectors including power & utilities, energy transition, transportation, digital infrastructure, communications infrastructure, and other essential infrastructure assets.
• Collaborate with colleagues across a global investment-banking platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of investment banking experience, consistent with an Analyst 2 or Analyst 3 level.
• M&A transaction experience strongly preferred.
• Infrastructure, energy, power & utilities, transportation, telecommunications, or related sector experience is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of M&A processes, financial modeling, valuation, and corporate finance.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
